Niagara clubs aim to help cyclists and their families

The Niagara Cycling Clubs Alliance (NCCA) is happy to invite all cyclists and their families to join in for the NCCA Ride for Heart Niagara on Father's day, June 16. White Meadows Farms will be the start/finish venue.

Join in for a scenic tour through the vineyards, orchards, and beautiful vistas of Niagara’s Green Belt. There are routes designed to challenge riders of all abilities from beginner to enthusiast.

A fantastic feast by The Smokin' Buddha, party, and expo will reward all the cyclists and their non-riding guests upon completion.

Local road changes: More two-way traffic coming to St. Catharines

As of May 28, Church and King Streets will be converted over to two-way traffic in the portions that are currently one way. Please use caution during the transition.

Have input: Join Share the Road for a conference call regarding the rules of the road for bicycles, e-bicycles and e-scooters

Ontario's Minister of Transportation recently announced consultations on the rules of the road for bicycles, e-bicycles and e-scooters. As Share the Road Cycling Coalition prepares their feedback, they are hosting a conference call to engage with stakeholders to discuss their recommendations on Wednesday, May 29th @ 7:15 p.m. Dial-in details and the draft recommendations will be shared via email with participants prior to the call.

Seniors Community Grant Program - Due June 27

Applications for initiatives under the Seniors Community Grant Program 2019-20 are now being accepted. This program encourages community involvement of seniors by supporting hundreds of projects focused on volunteerism, learning, financial awareness, social inclusion, elder abuse prevention, mental well-being and physical activity. A total investment of $3 million in 2019-20 will allow non-profit organizations, community groups and municipalities to receive funding ranging from $1,000 up to $25,000 for local projects.
