What is Ontario 511?
Ontario 511 is the Ministry of Transportation’s Traveller Information Services.
511 provides travellers with information about provincial highways traffic events, road conditions, camera images, roadwork and more, so they can plan their routes and travel safely. How to Access Ontario 511 Ontario 511 is available via:

Ontario 511 is your one stop to plan your route on Ontario’s transportation network.
Use the Ontario 511 route-planning tool to plan your next journey, check road conditions, and the latest roadwork updates. With 511, you can also access more than 500 traffic cameras to check live road and weather conditions.
Ontario 511 also offers travellers locations of and information on key travel hubs and services.
Travellers across the province can use 511 to check the location of provincial carpool lots, ferries, highway service centres and more.

Register with the Ontario 511 website to save the routes you travel regularly, such as your trip to and from work, and set up notifications that Ontario 511 will send to your email or smartphone when there is an event or traffic delay along your planned route.
Winter Driving View Ontario 511 cameras, weather information, forecasted driving conditions as well as road conditions and ‘Track My Plow’ before heading out during the winter.
From October to April, the Ministry of Transportation publishes road conditions, and ‘Track My Plow’ which allows you to plan ahead – to see where along your route you might come across a snow plow or salt truck – and which part of your route has already been cleared.
