ThoroldNews has been receiving comments of concern regarding the suspicious behaviour of a woman driving a BMW.

Apparently, the mystery woman has been approaching citizens and asking strange questions.

Fred Matheson reported an aquaintance was approached in the Foodland parking lot and the woman asked him questions such as, “Where are you from? What are you doing tonight? Can we hang out?”

She has not limited her approaches to men. One citizen reported she approached a woman walking her dog and baby and asked if she could see the baby. In this case, police were called.

A Facebook post has elicited comments from other citizens reporting the woman and similar incidents of contact.

She is described as a woman of small stature with red curly hair, eye glasses and driving a BMW.

ThoroldNews received this correspondence from The Niagara Regional Police:

"We received one call for service for a suspicious female driving an older model silver BMW in the area of Winterbury BVD and Tuliptree Rd in Thorold on May 6 at 10:26 a.m.  The female driver had allegedly stopped a pedestrian asking about the baby in the stroller she was pushing. Following a very brief conversation, the female drove around the area and then left.

The female driver did not exit her car or make any physical contact. There is no allegation of a criminal offence. The driver is described as white female, 35-45 years of age, with red/blonde hair medium length and spoke English."
