The transition to cooler weather means we'll be spending the next few months indoors.

If you have clutter, a small space, or just want to simplify your life, a free seminar at the Seniors Centre on Nov. 7 will teach you how.

Professional lifestyle organizing coach Julie Stobbe of Mind over Clutter will share tricks and tips to help you declutter and organize your way to a clean home and happy lifestyle.

All are welcome to the free seminar, which starts at 1:30 p.m.

Next month, a free Technology and Health forum will be held in the morning on Dec. 6, hosted jointly by the Thorold Age-Friendly Committee and Thorold Seniors Citizens Centre.

Again, all are welcome, said Age-Friendly committee chair Jean D’Amelio Swyer.

“You do not have to be a member of the Seniors Centre, for both of these events.”

Doors open at 8:30 a.m. to start the forum, with speakers appearing from 9 a.m. to noon.

First up, Digital Consultant Mark Kawabe will speak from 9:10 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. on the topic of Managing Your Digital Legacy, which means the digital information that remains available about a person after their death.

After a 15-minute break, Marilee Stickles-White, Manager of Clinical Nutrition at Niagara Health, and Dietitian Intern Savannah Bucella will discuss Nutrition for Older Adults, from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.

Following another break, Sime Pavlovic, Chief Information Officer of Niagara Health, will explain How Technology is Changing Healthcare, from 11:15 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. noon

Since there is limited seating, participants are asked to register by calling or visiting the Thorold Seniors Centre on weekdays from noon to 4 p.m.

The Seniors Centre is located at 8 Carleton St. South.

If registering by phone, please call 905-227-2161, and leave your name.
