Hop over to annual Easter Egg Hunt

No Thorold child will have to go without chocolate this Easter, thanks to the Thorold Station 1 volunteer firefighters

Once again, Protection Hose Company No. 1 will host an annual Thorold Easter Egg hunt at the Battle of Beaverdams Park.

Registration for the event starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, and firefighters advise parents to make sure they arrive early, in time to register to win one of the “big prizes” up for grabs.

The Easter Egg hunt kicks off at 10 a.m., when children will be divided into age categories, and every one of them will leave the downtown park with a chocolate bunny.

As always, they’ll be able to shake paws with the Easter Bunny in between hunting for eggs, and hot chocolate will be sold for $1 per cup.

Firefighters urge everyone who attends to bring a non-perishable food item for Community Care, and they’ll carry on their tradition of hosting their annual food drive at Thorold Foodland following the egg hunt, “To make sure everyone has a full belly this Easter.”
