Thorold's Protection Hose Company #1 volunteer firefighters set up camp last weekend to collect food and cash for Community Care.
Todd Marr's Foodland provided bags and facilities to ensure most needed items were pre-packaged for generous contributors.
As a result the firefighters collected $2,000 in cash and 500 bags of food, totalling 2,670 lbs., for the Thorold foodbank at Community Care, 19 Albert St. W.
