If you’ve been itching to get out on the ice this winter, but have been stuck on the bench, the City of Thorold is throwing open the doors to the Frank Doherty Arena Feb. 18 for Family Day.

Free skating will be offered from 10:30 a.m. to noon, and again from 2 until 3:30 p.m.

Also on Family Day in the southern end of the city, the Darlene Ryan Port Robinson Community Centre will be hosting a pasta dinner fundraiser.

The menu includes penne and meatballs, rolls, salad and dessert with the $10 price of admission going towards upgrades to the centre. First seating is from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. with the second from 6 to 7 p.m.

Tickets are available by calling 289 213-9995. Ask for Marty.
