NIAGARA CHILDREN'S CHOIR

Chorus Niagara Children's Choir and Artistic Director Amanda Nelli, in collaboration with Brock Univerisity Music and The District School Board of Niagara present the Second Annual Niagara Children's Honour Choir on Friday, Feb. 1 at 6:00 p.m. The event will take place at the FirstOntario Peforming Arts Centre.

Approximately 70 elementary music students from schools in the District School Board of Niagara perform in an evening concert with Brock University Choirs (under the direction of Dr. Rachel Rensink-Hoff) and the Chorus Niagara Children's Choir (Chamber and Concert Choirs under the direction of Amanda Nelli, Artistic Director).

Following outreach workshops provided by Amanda Nelli (Artistic Director, Chorus Niagara Children's Choir) and Dr. Rachel Rensink-Hoff and after a day of rehearsals with special Guest Conductor Zimfira Poloz, Artistic Director of the Hamilton Children's Choir and internationally recognized expert in choral artistry for young voices, the Niagara Children's Honour Choir performs on-stage in the Recital Hall at FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre with Brock University Choirs and Chorus Niagara Children's Concert and Chamber Choirs. The evening performance will be conducted by Zimfira Poloz.

Chorus Niagara Artistic Director Robert Cooper who, with his wife Megan, is personally sponsoring the concert notes, "CNCC is a superb advocate for the benefits and the joy of children singing! It is a sincere pleasure for us to support this year's clinician, the remarkable Zimfira Poloz, a choral musician of international renown, and have no doubt that this year's Honour Choir will be a truly unforgettable experience for all!"
