An old Thorold News article from 2019 about a possible closure of the Ormond Street Beer Store made the rounds on social media again this week, after rumors of plans to close down the location.
The Beer Store said in a statement to Thoroldnews.com that there are no plans to close the location.
It is currently the only retail location for alcohol within Thorold city limits.
However, at least two cannabis stores are pending opening after settling in the area in the last year.
