Brock U, Workforce Planning Board to formalize partnership

Online event includes signing of memorandum of understanding; discussion on economic recovery, gender equality in the workplace

The Niagara Workforce Planning Board (NWPB) and Brock University share the common goal of wanting to help build a prosperous Niagara community with a diverse and talented workforce.  

In its work to address workforce development challenges in the region, the NWPB has collaborated with Brock on research projects over the years. However, the partnership will be formalized when the two launch a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with a free online event on Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 11 a.m.  

The event, which will be livestreamed, will include a panel discussion about Niagara’s economic recovery from the COVID pandemic as well gender equity in the region’s workforce.  

The partnership continues Brock’s efforts to contribute to its community by collaborating with Niagara organizations that, like the University itself, are working to support the health, vitality and well-being of the region.
