The Port Robinson Ferry is opening up again on July 2, the City of Thorold says.

The ferry will operate daily through July and August from 9 a.m to 8 p.m and September to October 9 a.m. to dusk.

If you want to ride the ferry you must wear a mask in order to utilize a maximum of 10 riders.

Otherwise the maximum will be 2 riders per trip, said the city.

“When you approach the ferry on either side of the Welland Canal you will notice the gate to access the ferry will be closed. This is to ensure that physical distancing can be maintained when other riders are disembarking from their ride. An attendant will be present during peak times to organize riders to ensure all protocols are being adhered to and assist with timely service for riders,” a news release said.

Staff will be sanitizing benches and railings after each use.
