Niagara will be receiving shipments of the vaccine against COVID-19 next week.
That message comes from Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff, who made the announcement on Twitter earlier today.

Oosterhoff said he has spoken with Ontario Premier Doug Ford as well as the Ministry of Health prior to the announcement.
The news comes after the region's top doctor Mustafa Hirji expressed disappointment with the rollout of the vaccine that, prior to today, did not include Niagara in the first round of vaccinations.
"These early shipments will be targeted for high-risk and vulnerable populations such as frontline health care and long term care workers," Oosterhoff said.
Niagara recorded 118 cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, along with 29 more deaths.
