On Friday March 12, 2021, at approximately 10:15 a.m. officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service Marine Unit located a body in the Welland River near Prince Charles Drive and Colbeck Drive in Welland.
Detectives from our 3 District – Welland office, the Forensic Services Unit and the Coroner are investigating this matter further.
Further details about the deceased are not being released at this time pending positive identification and notification of the next of kin.
